We Are A Family Run Business

Our goal is to have happy, lifelong customers. Because of this, we will not trick you into a low-ball price and then tack on a bunch of extra fees once we arrive for your appointment. If you have dealt with other carpet cleaners in the past, you may have discovered that they often try to get their foot in the door by over promising, only to under deliver. We would much rather earn your trust to have you as a long-term customer by being honest with you from the start. Your satisfaction once we finish is far more important than a few extra dollars.

We want to ensure everyone has a carpet clean as if it were brand new, be it your home or your company’s office, using our top of the line industrial carpet cleaning equipment.

High Quality Cleaning

Instead of typical soap, we use powdered soap-free surfactants that cause soils and grime to release from the carpet fibers.  We then rinse the carpet fibers with fresh clean water or with a rinse-aid, depending on what is needed for your particular situation.

Steam Cleaning

Steam Cleaning

With hot water extraction (a.k.a. “steam cleaning”), we can remove at least 97 percent of dirt and bacteria from carpeting, including odors and grease. Steam cleaning, unlike other methods, is capable of thoroughly cleaning the carpet fibers. After surfactants have freed dirt and grime from the carpet, steaming hot water is blasted into the carpet and immediately vacuumed up, thus rinsing them away. Because we do not use typical soap, after the carpet is dry, no sticky residue is left behind. By avoiding the re-soiling issues that sticky soaps can create, your carpet will stay cleaner longer.

What Our Customers Say

Accurate Estimates

Pagosa Steam provides very accurate price estimates over the phone and will not trick you with a low-cost special that ends up doubling or even tripling when we show up at the appointment.

No Up-Front Payments

You pay nothing until the job is complete and you are satisfied.

Healthy Carpet

A healthy carpet is just as important as a healthy lifestyle.

Carpets can collect millions of micro organisms over time, including allergens, bacteria, and dust mites. If a household has pets, fleas can live in the carpets and lay eggs. Other insects commonly found in households may also live or lay eggs deep in the carpet.

Our 7-step Carpet Cleaning Process

Carpet Drying

As soon as your carpet is clean, our goal is to make the carpet dry as soon as possible. Most other carpet cleaners offer to use air movers to help speed up drying times when you pay for their “Platinum Package” or when you pay an extra fee. We bring a couple of large air movers to increase drying time on areas that we have already cleaned while we are working on other areas in your home for no additional fee.

Open Windows

Cleaning large areas of carpet can increase humidity in your home. As humidity increases, the drying process slows. For this reason, it is best to get the humid air out of the house and replace it with less humid air. This is typically done by opening windows at opposite ends of the home and encouraging air to blow through (depending on outside weather conditions of course). This process is sometimes referred to as “burping” the house. Opening windows partially and turning bathroom vents on can also draw in fresh air and speed the drying process.

Air Circulation

Although we use large air-movers to speed the drying process while we are working at your home so that your carpets will be far along on their drying process before we leave, your carpets will not be completely dry when we leave. Therefore, for any rooms that we have cleaned that have ceiling fans, we will turn them on before we leave. We also recommend switching the central air system fan “on” (from the “automatic” position) to help circulate air and speed the drying process.

Before

After

We can't guarantee every stain can be removed, but we can remove most.

See The Difference

Vacuuming can remove dust and dirt and whatever may be on the surface of the carpet, but only steam cleaning can reach deep enough into the carpet to truly clean it and remove stains.

If carpets aren’t taken care of and cleaned, their lifespan will shorten significantly. Regularly steam cleaning the carpet prolongs its life so it won’t have to be replaced.

Moving Furniture

We are happy to move a few items of light furniture for no additional fee (for example dining room chairs or small end tables that do not have items sitting on them). We typically clean around any large or heavy furniture without moving it (we can reach about 8” under beds and all the way under dining room tables). Of course, if you prefer that we clean an area under a large piece of furniture, please feel free to remove any such items from rooms that we will be cleaning before we arrive. For large items that you have removed prior to our cleaning, it is best to keep them off the carpet until it is completely dry. This is especially true for furniture that restricts air flow over the area of carpet that it sits above (for example most dressers and night-stands).
